WWE Halloween Costume
Wrestling is more than a sport – it’s an industry, a show, an awesome entertainment business. This is why everything matters: the name, the signature entrance, the gimmicks, the moves and the strategy. It is a tough environment not only because of the violence associated with this type of sport, but also because of the great planning and attention to detail to choreography for maximum entertainment.
The costumes are representative of the wrestler’s personality and are as carefully chosen as their name or personal trainer. The reason: to offer that epic entertainment people expect and individuate themselves among all other wrestlers. Thus, if you are thinking of being a wrestler this Halloween, you have to know for sure who you want to be. The most popular costumes are for The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, John Cena and, the grandfather of them all, Hulk Hogan. Pick your favorite and let the show begin!
Rey Mysterio
Nephew of Rey Misterio, Oscar Gutierrez had wrestling in his blood. He began his wrestling career in Mexico, in what is called lucha libre and entered the wrestling championships through his brave and distinct way of fighting. His signature outfit is made up of a mask with eagle-eyed eye holes and a pair of medium or long pants matching the mask’s color and pattern. One of the famous outfits is the American flag replica pants and mask, while the most spectacular is the red costume with black inscriptions. What is your favorite one?
The Undertaker
Mark William Calaway, or The Undertaker, is one of the most prominent figures in wrestling. Undefeated in WrestleMania and having won numerous championships and wrestling competitions, The Undertaker is one of the wrestlers which have made history in the wrestling ring. If you are one of his ardent fans or simply want an aggressive look for Halloween you should start looking for his famous black undershirt, pair it with a pair of black pants and a black long coat to your entrance in great style. Wear a brown wig to resemble more your favorite wrestler and do not forget the black hat! You can put up this costume by yourself or you can purchase it from the specialized costume stores with an additional Undertaker mask and a muscular chest to recreate the exact Undertaker look.
Stone Cold Steve Austin
Looking for the perfect image of an anti-hero? Then a Stone Cold Steve Austin costume will be great for you. The rebel beer drinker will certainly fascinate all the good girls around! Not only is such a costume a great one, but it is also relatively easy to make. In fact, all you need to do is find a black, leather vest and write “Austin” on one part and draw a skeleton head on the other using white paint. Pair it with black shorts or a pair of short blue jeans for an authentic Austin look. There are also Austin masks available on the market, so that you can fully transform into Stone Cold this Halloween.
Sgt. Slaughter
Do you want an army look? Then go for the Sgt. Slaughter costume, a green outfit remembering those of the brave fighters America has had. A tough, yet polished look that will get you on top of people’s preferences. However, if you decide to go for this outfit you may be taken for a soldier indeed and not for the wrester that you want to be, so you must be careful in adding the details which will make the difference, such as a moustache and the well known safari hat.
Rowdy Roddy Piper
Scots have a hero: he is called Rowdy Roddy Piper and has his signature entrances and costumes themed around the “Scottish” culture. If you want to dress like him you will need a white/black t-shirt with the “hot rod” inscription, a red plaid kilt and a black jacket. Cute, sexy and powerful! Who would say no to such a man!
Apart from the costumes, you need to purchase some additional accessories too. You will need a “pack” of chest muscles (if you do not have a muscular abdomen already) as well as boots matching the costume you chose. Remember that in most cases, the details are those which make a costume spectacular and this is valid for wrestling costumes too.
